Sorry, that was utterly confusing...
If you can believe it, I got up to do something and my 15lb black brooklyn
street cat "Oscar" decided to punch a few buttons on the old laptop. On
returning, my freshly started reply was sent and he was hunkered down next
to the computer looking truculent. The bastard is pure evil, I tell you.
And having been hit by a skunk last week, he even has a sulfurous smell
about him. Pure evil.
Anyway, Jones had mentioned to me this thing about the LED's not getting
hot. After all the back and forth on Stephens list, did you come up
with a standard circuit to show the effect?
My interest in the LED's is somewhat different from yours; I was looking
into a
lighting application that would need to use the most efficient LED's
possible for the biggest "wow" factor. Hence the desire to see
as much light with as little current as possible. After some thought,
and considering John Winterfloods comment about pulsing to achieve
greater perceived light output, I think I have enough to do the circuit
right. I'll post a bit more about this when I get the LEDs and have
something to actually show. No claims of overunity for this application,
just a fun use of the LED's and some old ham tricks...
