A chain reaction usually only happens when some part of the output of the
reaction triggers another similar reaction.
There is no such causative link in this case. The degree to which the reaction
occurred at all would depend on how/if the decay reaction was triggered by an
external cause (e.g. electric shock), in which case, one probably wouldn't get
very many of them occurring at any one time.
