This could be important. Gallium Nitride has a
published bandgap of 3.4 eV. Of course the actual part
may vary if it has been doped.
3.4 eV is curious because it is the "best guess" for
the mass-energy of the electron anti-neutrino,
according to many experts. Of course the neutrino only
will display mass-energy when it interacts or
oscillates, otherwise it is said to be "massless".
Would putting a thin layer of semiconductor into
resonance at this level somehow cause neutrinos, from
the solar flux to oscillate from massless to massive,
and then to immediately decay ?
That might explain the "stars"...
