Hey guys,

Hmmm.  Jones' reply came through, but Keith's original
report here hasn't yet.  Maybe I'll gather a bit more
when it does.

How are you isolating the charged mass from attracting
to the body of the balance, or the table, etc?

This was one of the prime artifacts I used to run into
when I tried weighing things like spherical capacitors
or bowl capacitors or PZT doohickies, etc.

Thats why I also am keen on Fred's battery experiment
- the voltages are low.

One trick I used to use was to have my balance sitting
on a foil covered tabletop, and have a very thin
hair-wire run from the foil tablecloth to the balance
pan or object under test in some cases.
