     We are proud to offer an educational "lite" version of the product, which is the premium version with a somewhat diminished feature set. This can be used by students and 501(c)(3) organizations free of charge. We encourage you to explore the patent databases, as they represent the collected privately held knowledge of our modern industrial age.

     Commercial users and private individuals may evaluate the demo, but must purchase the software. Contact us for information if you wish to have custom work done on the product to suit your particular needs.

     Click on the icon below, and you will get a file download dialog box. Select "save this program to disk" and you will be prompted for a location on your hard drive to store the program.

     If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you will need to download and install it. This is important for viewing PDF formatted patents. Click on the icon below for further instructions from Adobe.

     To view TIFF formatted patents, you will need to download and install a TIFF viewer. A popular free viewer is available from the Medical Informatics Engineering website, install it under Internet Explorer by clicking on the link below.

Installation Instructions.

     If you are upgrading from an old version, or installing to a fresh machine, the procedure is the same.

     Start by installing the tiff and pdf viewers, if you have not already done so. Next, install IP-Discover. Clicking the Open Button after downloading IP-Discover should start installation. Otherwise find the file ipddemo.exe using Explorer or the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, at the location you specified for download. Click on that file, and the installer will guide you to completion. Finally, click on the program icon on the desktop or start bar, and IP-Discover will start.
